Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN)

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a Central Sector Scheme launched by the Government of India to augment the financial resources of all landholding farmers' families for procuring various inputs related to agriculture and allied activities as well as domestic needs. Under the scheme, an amount of ₹6,000 per year is transferred directly into the bank accounts of the farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode in three equal four-monthly installments of ₹2,000 each.

• Excludes serving/retired officers and employees of central/state government and PSUs (except multi-tasking staff / Class IV).
• Excludes all persons who paid income tax in the last assessment year.
• Excludes professionals like doctors, engineers, lawyers, CA, and architects registered with professional bodies.

• Valid active mobile number for OTP verification

1. 1Visit the official PM-KISAN portal (pmkisan.gov.in).
2. 2Navigate to the 'Farmers Corner' section on the homepage and click on 'New Farmer Registration'.
3. 3Select Rural Farmer Registration or Urban Farmer Registration, enter your Aadhaar Number and active Mobile Number, and select your State.
4. 4Verify the OTP received on your Aadhaar-registered mobile number.
5. 5Fill in complete personal details, district, sub-district, block, village, and land holding details (survey/khata number, dag/khasra number, land transfer date).
6. 6Upload land documentation and submit the form; complete mandatory eKYC using OTP or biometric CSC verification.
