About
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Gramin (PMAY-G) aims to provide a pucca house with basic amenities to all houseless households and households living in kutcha and dilapidated houses in rural areas. The scheme provides a direct cash grant of ₹1,20,000 in plain areas and ₹1,30,000 in hilly/difficult states and Integrated Action Plan (IAP) districts. It converges with MGNREGS to provide 90-95 person-days of unskilled labor support and ₹12,000 for toilet construction under Swachh Bharat Mission.

Eligibility
- Rural households living in kutcha or dilapidated houses, identified through SECC 2011 and Awaas+ surveys.
- Excludes households owning motorized 2/3/4-wheelers, mechanized 3/4-wheeler agricultural equipment.
- Excludes households with government employees, income tax payers, or Kisan Credit Card limit of ₹50,000 or above.
- Excludes households with non-agricultural enterprises registered with government.

How to Apply
- 1Beneficiary selection is undertaken transparently by the Gram Sabha based on the Awaas+ priority list.
- 2The designated Gram Panchayat official or Block Awaas coordinator registers the beneficiary on AwaasSoft.
- 3Initial geo-tagging of the existing kutcha site is carried out via AwaasApp.
- 4Block Development Officer (BDO) issues the administrative sanction order.
- 5Installment 1 is transferred for foundation; subsequent installments are released after stage-wise geo-tag verification (plinth level, lintel level, and completion).
